Or the pilgrim straps we see so often (the rusticated slab-o-leather with the two horizontal stitches at the top) that are commonly marketed as “vintage” these days. They didn’t exist prior to the 90’s and no self respecting company would have ever put such an unfinished and unrefined strap on a watch.
So, is that the name they generally go by? If so, thank you, thank you - at last I can more easily tell folks, "I'd be interested, if only you'd get rid of that #$**% pilgrim strap". Also, thanks for confirming they really are a faux vintage invention, cos I never saw one when I was young!
I hope these rough pictures can explain what I mean. I observed also that the short lug version has soleil finish, while the long lug one has a straight finish.
So watches with the same reference have diffrent lug shapes? Because I presume both watches in the pictures are 135.041 models
