Hello all!

New member here. I have enjoyed making my way through the forum and learning more and more about vintage watches. I purchased my firm vintage watch two weeks ago (JLC) and I can’t help but look at watches all day, everyday.

The next watch I want to acquire is a Dirty Dozen. Preferably an Omega. This is what brought me to this forum. I’m still trying to learn about the Omega version and things to look for. So many details.

Any advice on where I should look? I watch eBay and there are some available but I’m not confident enough to pull the trigger.

thank you for you time and all who have contributed to this wealth of knowledge.

Hi Dan, I joined MWR but it doesn’t allow me to see anything at all.
Your membership will need to be approved. But once you are approved and log in, you can go to the PX and see watches for sale. Non-members cannot view the forum.

Itching to find a WWII piece.

That's a huge barrel of shit to jump into as a newbie, unfortunately you've already bought yourself one redial.

That’s not too reassuring haha. Do you feel the same about the “Fat Arrow” pieces? I read these aren’t shock absorbent. Is that a huge deal? I’m not going to be running through any walls anytime soon.

I agree regarding MWR.
Also not being “shock absorbent” is probably the least of your worries with vintage WW2 era pieces.
