I am not an expert, but having said that, both dials have been refinished, and it would therefore be difficult, if not impossible to authenticate them as having been original to military watches.

I would never buy them, or a purported vintage military watch with such dials.

While that is possible, I doubt that that the claim could be confirmed. And while the seller may be honest, it should be obvious that any seller would have a vested interest in claiming some sort of originality.

Beyond that, I would personally much prefer a sympathetic service dial, and even if they are genuine, I don't consider either of those to fall into that category. Collectors of vintage military dials do tend to be more forgiving of originality than most critical vintage collectors, but in my view, neither one of those wouldn't even give off any vintage "vibe", if worn.

I don't know what your budget is, but I would much prefer the "patina" of this original dial:

So what is your question to us?
There is an difference between service and refurbished dials, the question are those dials an custom-refurbished or official service dials?
I asked seller to provide better pictures of both items, let's wait if he will do it.

As you probably know, the MOD refinished dials after removing the radium, but IIRC, those generally have a T on the dial. So the second one, with the green lume and no T, seems unlikely to me. But that is without studying it closely, and the poor quality of the photos would make authentication difficult anyway.

In principle, the first might be an original radium dial, or a fake. You will need to get sharp photos and make careful comparisons with correct examples. Geiger counter readings and UV shots would also be helpful. Good luck.

Thank you..

If the owner provides better photos, I will share them here.

Strange how the seller managed to get sharp photos of the backside of each dial - but could pull off the same on front side ...

Yap..

Seller assures that the dials are original, offended by my doubts, but has not yet sent better quality photos.

I like them. All the markers are aligned, all clear, the same font on both dials which looks legit. Lume markers look good..
So are these dials genuine?

Both dials are ok in my opinion, both MoD dials, second one is the most often seen MoD dial.

That sounds good, thank you - I also think they are MoD genuine.
Seller mentioned: "The dials came from the UK Ministry of Defence, they are genuine parts for military watch service."

Judging by the backs of both dials , they could be 1960`s replacement MoD Dials. Re Printed in the UK. ( When a seller says, they are Original Dials : He does not really lie , because they are the original Omega dial Blancs ... ) The 10033 one seems ok in all Aspects. The 2. One I`m not so sure. The Lume on the second one , which will approach 60 years now, i still too pristine Greenish . That`s not the way, Tritium ages. And something else : Ask the seller, to include the little storage Bag piece as well ! We bought so many different Brand military dials over the 1990`s from Government Auctions and most of them came in these storage bags . Mostly 3 dials in one. Even when just one was left . So, keeping these bags and put newly repaints in them, does not make them more Original ...

That's correct..

I will receive package within the dials.
Let's wait and see: will investigate dials after receiving - will look at them under UV-light also check for radioactivity. UV flashlight and radiation detector have already been ordered. 馃槄
