Hi everyone, hope you’re all having a good day 😀

Thoughts on this omega de ville?
Priced at £328, excluding shipping and import costs.
Any major red flags?
It’s running well and keeps accurate time, hasn’t been serviced recently though.
Comes with the original box.

Thanks!!

fyi, looking at this as my first vintage watch, not as much as a collector/investment, just to wear day to day 😀

Its real, not very high demand as there aren't many takers for these, its quite a small watch at around 32.5mm so just be aware that even compared to most vintage models its very small

I think for 25 years of service, Toshiba could have given a nicer watch to whoever got this 🫤.

I had a seamaster quartz with a vertically brushed silver dial back in the day. It was nice but didn’t hold time well so I moved it on to someone that could deal with it.

These watches were made during a time of financial strain on omega. Prior to this period omega used to gold cap not plate etc.

If you get it cheap and like it, wear it in good health otherwise leave it.

It’s not possible for someone to recommend a vintage Omega without knowing more about what you’re looking for.
Do you have a preference for age, size, time only, cost, seamaster/constellation/geneve, quartz/mechanical, metal, dial colour?
