Omega Constellation - ref. 14381 Crosshair Pie Pan dial with Arrowhead marker

Hey guys,

So I ended up pulling the trigger on this one.

Always wanted a lyre-lugged arrowhead Constellation, and this seemed like a pretty honest example with a nice sharp case and a warm, creamy dial.

There is some bubbling on the dial that shows up under macro, which I am aware of and think I can live with. Hope this wont be too distracting while on the wrist.

Probably a bit late to ask now, but would you be able to provide you overall thoughts on this piece? Aside from the dial bubbling, do you see any other red flags I should be aware of?

Also, would you know of any safe ways of restoring some shine to the medallion?

Thanks in advance - always appreciate the valuable feedback here!

Red flag: Tip of the minute hand extends past the markers, so likely incorrect for this config.

No, nothing wrong with the second hand, he said the minute hand. Read again. It would typically end at the minute track on the inside edge of the applied markers.

There are a few Omega references where the minute hand extends past the minute track this way, but I have not seen it in this reference. Perhaps the OP can find some other examples.

The good thing is that the hands can be easily replaced.

I too would leave the medallion alone

A correct hand set isn’t overly hard to find and will set you back ~100$€£ or so. Not the end of the world.

You could buy a gold cloth on amazon for a 5er and make the medallion all shiny. Personally, I wouldn’t.

I like it. 😀

I have one like that in my collection but it is a 2852, powered by a 505.
I should check the dial feet to see if they are there or not haha.

Medallion on the back looks awesome. I also vote to leave it alone 😃

Nice one, pixeldixel. Leave the medallion as it is. My 14381 says hello.

Please do not shine the medallion. I had a nice pie pan Constellation with a superb dial, but some clown had polished the back so the medallion was shiny bright. Horrible.

What a beauty! is that on a 1036 bracelet with No. 11 end links?

Thanks so much for the reassurance, Peemacgee. I don't feel as horrible now.

May i just find out where to look for the correct handset?

I checked www.ofrei.com and it seems they're out of stock. I also viewed every "omega dauphene hands" listing on eBay with no luck.

Any pointers on where else to look?

If all else fails, i may just send it in to a local Omega authorized service center and have them source it through their channels, but I expect that will be the costliest option.

You are looking for a 0.80 sized minute hand for this caliber, perhaps it would help adding the size when looking for it. They usually come in a set with the hour hand though (1.50mm).

Check Google too with these measurements
