Hello everyone,

The owner states this is a 1958 Omega Constellation Pie Pan, ref: 2943-2-SC. The owners say the everything is original but I could not find any variations of this watch. The watch below are the same on different straps. Some of the problems I found is:

1. No "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED" under "CHRONOMETER"

2. The crown looks a bit off, the shape but also indent of the Omega sign seems a bit large

I've seen some Rail Track with a similar dial but never on a Pie Pan. I'm wondering if it was redialed but is the dial at least genuine? Please let me know know what you guys see and if the parts are genuine.

That reference should have 24J cal 504 chronometer movement, need photos of movement showing cal number
Thus I believe it should have Officially Certified text
Minute track is quite wobbly so I am concerned may be redial. Better focused straight up closeup of dial needed for closer inspection.
All I have seen in SS have been domed dials not pie pan. There is gold version with pie pan iirc
The crown is not original
Need more photos of bracelet including inside clasp to tell if orig
I wouldn’t jump on this one but get more photos to share.

Here is overview of the reference.

Sorry I forgot to mention, but yes it is a Omega 504 movement.

Do you think the dial is genuine? I've never seen a Pie Pan dial like this without the "Officially Certified" text that also had "Calendar" under "Constellation" but seen it many times on a Rail Track (Pic 5) which makes me think it might be genuine?

The 3010/511 is Omega 18mm bracelet which is an option for this watch. 511 is more modern version of 11.
The font looks pretty good with serifs, question of slanted M in chronometer but this is seen in some, but I still have concern that dial is not correct for this reference.
@qazwsx1 has posted a detailed thread on this reference here’s a link maybe he has opinion

The hands may not be right, they have lume but dial does not and the hour hand does not seem right with large triangular lume.
I found a non pie pan Turler with those hands, no officially certified, but had lumed indicies.
Maybe yours is a service dial?

Thank you for calling @SOG53 .
In my opinion, the font with a thick serif style appears suitable for Reference 2943. Additionally, my research indicates that the slanted “M” and the absence of official certification are acceptable, at least based on one example.

How about the movement picture?
My intuition suggests that this watch has been discussed in forums previously.

Right you are this watch was discussed here in Nov here is the link:
And I was a participant. One of concerns was relationship between Automatic and Chronometer. The spacing was quite off.
Worth a look OP its same watch

I saw it but there wasn't much discussion other than what you mentioned. So far, my assumption based on everyone's input is that the dial, hands, and crown doesn't match up with the original watch. Based on the reference #, the watch was originally a Constellation Calendar with a dome dial. I personally really like the look of the watch but not entirely sure what value to put on it. How much would be a fair price for a watch like this?
