Just don't pay, haven't done it myself but I hear it happens a lot on Catawiki and I don't think you'll get in trouble for it, probably even link them this thread and they will understand.
Not if they actually read the thread.

European law gives a 14 days returning period for people who buy from professional sellers. This 14-day period is also written in the general term and conditions of catawiki. Seller is from turkey but because he agreed on terms and conditions the 14-day rule still applies (IMO)...

Edit: if people like this 991 times I have 2000 likes. Just saying...

If that's the case (idiotic that the law has to protect people from their own mistakes), I would reach out to Catawiki and tell them she has changed her mind so they don't go to the expense of shipping.

Seller ships. Not catawiki. Here comes the best of our european law, if a buyer returns the item the seller has to pay for the costs of return. We call it social law. We protect the weaker party...

That's not true. Read article 6, lid 6 of the 2011/83/EU. If the seller did not say something about the costs of retour the buyer is not obligated to carry the costs...

You see the difference between your two posts?
Sellers are not obliged to cover the costs for the return!

In essential you're right. But in daily professional transactions you never see professional sellers inform the consumer about the costs of return. So in all those cases the seller is responsible for the costs of return.
