Lots of love from me for the Constellation Globemaster, but I agree that it's under-rated in the west. For whatever reasons, the modern trend in the west seems to be towards sport watches.

based on all the comments, i think there are alot of fans of the vintage constellation, but not much for the modern ones. But it seems Globemaster is getting popular! I love its fluted bezel as well.

Wrist size / watch size.....It is all relative and depends on the watch design / not all about case size I think.....
agreed. I couldn’t eat anything smaller than a 40 mm. Or would look very small

40 mm has now become the standard. I bet in a few years 40 mm will be considered a "small" sized watch.

All trends come back. One day 36mm Gold ones will be back in focus. And than I am prepared

Hi All
I noticed that there is very little discussions on Constellation series. Mostly members seem to have Seamasters, Speedmasters, etc. Where as in our part of the world, the most popular series is Constellation. Is this because of the difference in preferences based on regions? Or probably because Seamasters/Speedmaster are better investment?
Apologies for my ignorance if I am jumping towards a false conclusion. Would love to hear members feedback!
Hi all, does anyone have any information on this watch? I have recently brought it and it’s my first vintage omega. I am aware it’s not on an original strap but I also didn’t pay too much for it. I have been trying to find something online to compare it too but can’t seem to find one to match. Thanks

It is a gold plated 1970s quartz constellation in a style often described as "tv dial" due to its shape. You can search those details on Google and you will find many different examples.
Quartz 70s watches are not very popular these days and as you noted, they can be picked up relatively cheaply.
Wear in good health and enjoy it

I would encourage you to start a new thread for this, and include your own pictures rather than the seller’s pictures. The information to identify the model and movement will usually be found inside the case and on the movement. It looks like an 80s model. the best I could come up with is that it has a cal 1532 movement but I did not know that this movement was chronometer rated.

Now, if you’d said c-shape and 50s&60s Constellations with pie pan dials are your favourites - that might make sense.
But since there are more than half a dozen case reference constellations with pie pan dials it might be useful to narrow your description a bit.
(C-cases are one of the few 60s Constellation references without a pie pan option)

so, which pie pan reference floats your boat?

Yes, my answer is too generic.

I love especially 60s c shape constellation (ref 168.0*) and connie pie pan dial (ref 2852 and 2782) 👍

Reviving this old thread since I seem to be a relatively rare fan of the constellation. I have been admiring a 29 mm ladies' version, which I think look great with the diamond hour markers and such. Some of the large onces for men I can see are maybe not so exciting. But I don't know why so many find the roman numerals and claws so offensive? I find it diffucult to find a quality automatic less than 30 mm, with a style that I like, among the good swiss watch makers.
