Don't you gotta beach to lay on or something? 😁
Just curious: what does his nationality have to do with his tenacity?
Gosh, of all the content in this thread you might have picked up on, you decided to comment on this?
I think, perhaps, this says more about you than anything else.
I was being descriptive, he is a friend, he’s American, he’s like a dog with a bone.
Fred reminded me of him.
End of.
Completely irrelevant.
Does it? That’s a nice deflection.
You can try and spin this any way you want, but the sub-text here is not flattering, and the implication is that Americans are annoyingly tenacious in a foolish, myopic, or dogmatic way. At least that’s what my friend said when I showed him this thread. Oh, sorry, my Black friend. Just being descriptive...
Where exactly are you seeing this? The foolish, myopic etc etc, where was that stated or implied? You are either over sensitive or trying to pick a fight, neither is a particularly welcome trait.
Fred likes the sound of his own voice, most of us here do.
Wow, You remind me of an American friend of mine - he too is like a dog with a bone when he has an opinion to defend.
Now, try it like this: “You remind me of a friend of mine - he too is like a dog with a bone when he has an opinion to defend.”
So you’re saying the addition of the word “American” was just an innocent descriptor, with no other implications at all, either overt or subtextual? If so, we’ll have to just agree to disagree.

When it comes to newbies some of y'all need to work on your bedside manner. If someone posts about a watch they're interested in then don't make the guy feel like an asshole for liking it. ... Over-the-top negativity is just going to make newbies gun shy on posting their next potential watch.
P pb273The movement looks right, the only thing that seems off is the writing on the dial.
