Hmm, quite a late serial on the SS example indicating that 20 million serials were in the 14902s whereas most 14902s had had serials ranging in the 18 - 19 mill. range . Movements weren't used in order, but batches, so while it's possible for a 005 to have the arrowhead dial, as I said I'd be more comfortable with the 14902.

The Omega Vintage Database shows both the Ref. 14902 and Ref. 168.005 in the Omega catalog for 1962. This should cover the OP's watch with a 19M serial number.

However, the prior OF listing might also be OK, as while it has a 20M serial number, it is a really low 20M serial number (20,000,11X). Could be end of 1962 (hence the "-62" caseback) or very beginning of 1963.

I think we have to conclude, "close enough for government work".

It is not a Deluxe but it is rare. Buy it.

PS .... oppps. Missing one case clamp is not a good sign. Be careful.

Hi,

how would you know if it is a deluxe or not? Newbie here. Also, I didn't notice the missing case clamp. Mind pointing it out where exactly? Appreciate it.

Thank you so much for the reply!

A Deluxe dial has shiny finish and made of gold (18k)
Case clamps are used to hold the movement in its place.
Look at the pic and you will see what is missing in yours.

A 168.005 is a dog leg case?
This one looks to be a mishmash of parts.

I think the dog leg case may have snuck into the photo? The outside case back photo looks ok for a 14393 reference.

Haha. Did'nt even look at that. I only could think how a arrowhead dial came into a 168.005? This one was at auction from Alex from Mexico (yesterday). It went for $ 1.525.
