Hi all, I am looking into buying this Omega Constellation from a reputable watch store in Denmark. It is priced at 1250 EUR. I only have these pictures. What are your thoughts? All input is appreciated. Best regards, Anders
Given that I am looking into buying it, it should be fairly obvious that I like it. I also find the price very reasonable. But this is my first Constellation and therefore I am unable to spot if the case has been to much polished or if there is anything wrong with the dial.
I think you already know that better photos are needed, including some straight-on photos of the dial with the hands moved so they do not obscure the printing. Ask the seller to take photos in natural lighting. Obviously photos of the back are necessary, and photos of the inside would be desirable. The case has obviously been polished, but whether it's "too polished" is for you to decide. Everyone has different standards.
My vote goes for a redial. I might change my mind if someone can produce another 14381 with a ‘straight legged’ M in automatic.
This one also has a ‘straight legged’ M? https://chrono24.app/omega/constell...pan--id20862009.htm?SETLANG=da_DK&SETCURR=DKK
The text looks very wrong and the index markers are too close to the scallop edges. Oh and the lume is too white. Here is mine in comparison:
The crown is slightly too thick and should have a “flat foot” Omega logo (search the forum if you’re not sure what that means).
Hej Anders. I like Krognos, but that advert is extremely poor. Rubbish photos, next to no information. If you are visiting the shop, please ask if you could take a straight-on photo in decent lighting of the dial side. Or ask Jørgen for more details; he is a good guy so should answer truthfully.
