·Not sure on the Cortebert/Omega franken but unfortunately that Connie is a hot mess. Very bad redial. You should post on the forum to have a watch vetted BEFORE you pull the trigger. The resident experts (myself not included) will help you determine if a watch is a good buy.

·The movement is authentic (the 561). The only way to know if it's in serviceable condition would be to take it to a watchmaker

·according to google omega purchased cortebert in the 1970's then it shut down could this be something omega put together since they are both connected but i can't find this watch combinations no where any ideas

Because if thats what you've got in mind $500 isn't going to buy you a particularly nice one, they can be had under a grand in decent shape but a $500 example will have a bit of a scummy dial and movement.
