Does it have a Cal 354 bumper? Does this movement number look correct for a 2782? The reason I ask is I recently posted the watch in these photos which I purchased thinking it was a 2852-2 and I am advised it could be 2782. If so, I now need to procure the proper caseback?

I am aware that you created your own thread, and @hoipolloi (the expert) mentioned the caseback. I agree with him.

Also, it is possible that the rotor may not be original either. Please refer to the attached photos, comparing yours with another ref. 2782.

Finally, I’ve found an example that matches mine in every detail. Thanks @omega1994 for sending me this link.

It’s a steel case with a black dial and gold hardware, and this piece also carries the 2852 reference from the early period, as it uses the caliber 501 - the same as mine.

In my opinion, the dial is original (not a redial).
However, this dial photo isn’t very clear for assessment, and from that angle it might not actually have such noticeable marks.
Sellers often take photos in ways that hide imperfections. 😏

In the description, they refer to this watch as ‘very rare,’ so I’m fortunate to have the chance to own one as well.

However, the listed price is £3,250 (excluding shipping). 🤭
If anyone is keen enough, you can go and pick it up —and don’t forget to show it here.

Also, this watch has a movement number (15009160) that falls within the range I previously estimated and hypothesized for pieces using the caliber 501. 🤩
