Hallo friends,
on Chrono24 I saw these two Omega Constellations with a 24h dial.
I did ask the seller, but got no answer.
The dials look too good, to immediately rate it a fake.
What is it? Do they really have a 24h wheel train?

Funny, as I saw another example recently but can’t find it again. It had an atrocious dial (clearly refinished) however.

I wonder - what’s the point of showing these numbers on the dial exactly?

Looks like a “custom” redial to me. I’ve never seen a military style 24-hour dial with that orientation.

Usually the “24” or “0” starts at the top.

Both are fantasy redials.

For the lower one, can we read the time as 8:58 PM?😲

I would have guessed so, otherwise there really is no point!

It reads 20.58 local time zone.
But is the wheel train really for 24h?
Only the seller could say, but does not answer.

This is why we should consult our peers before executing projects 😁

Fun fact, bought another one with similar dial and only the date switchs at „24“ - beside that it runs normally. All from same seller …

I have to correct my last post! The watch actually works as a 24h model in terms that the hour hand really points to the printed 24 hours so running really 24hrs for one complete turn!

I wonder what the conventional hour markers are doing on the dial, to confuse other people looking at the watch?😆

It seems to me, that putting the 24 down and even moving down the calendar date switch down was intentional so during daytime when the sun is up, those daylight hours are up as well. Easy to remember especially when those numbers are hard to read, as the standard indices are still in place.
