It went in a heartbeat.

Yes indeed it went real quick....I think I may have been a little too 'friendly' with my pricing 😟

Thanks @gatorcpa I'm living in Switzerland at the moment, although usually the UK. There's a nice 1953 Globemaster on CR24 I looked at, probably sounds stupid, but I do quite want the script "Constellation" on the dial. What's the thoughts on engravings like this one? There's something charming about it but I'm guessing it's not sought after unless it's something like Frank Sinatra 😀
I like the watch you posted, very nice. Is that yours?
I came across this watch in real life. I was interested in buying it but it was too polished for my taste. The engraving didnt bother me.
Maybe you just stick to a steel con in the beginning. They are easier to wear in everyday life.

Have fun hunting!

Are you asking because of the corrosion on those hands? Honestly, I wouldn't want to be searching for a set of clean, steel, non-luminous replacement hands for one of those. Not easy at all...

Are those hands specific to the Constellation or can you find them on the Seamaster too ?

I‘d be surprised if the exact same (length etc) would be found on a Seamaster tbh, but I wouldn’t know for certain.

Great point. I didn't think about the length difference.

Thank you. Yep I think I’m a steel case guy. I am sad to have missed that last one, but happy there is more of this hunt to play out!

I think I’m going to regret letting this one go, but no movement picture and I’m not sure of myself enough to go all in!

Early movement number might mean there’s a 352 inside. I think it’s good, to my nooby eyes dial looks good although lacquer has deteriorated. Case looks pretty sharp, hands I think are good. Crown replaced, probably crystal too. The medallion looked too good if anything, not sure if that’s a replacement?

Anyway more knowledgable peeps will probably tell me I’m way off and I’ll be pleased I ducked out 🤔

Ok so yep I am regretting it. Another watch would have been a tricky conversation with my co-pilot though.

Hopefully someone on here won it and I get to see pictures of the 352 movement and it looking amazing. Can’t wait.

Don’t be. It’s not like you missed the bargain of the century. 😀 But your attitude is great - who knows, we might see it pop up somewhere around here.

Heh thanks. I was being sarcastic, let’s just say to deal with the regret 😁 But it would be good to see it on here …

I would have been happy to have that at that price, but there's no telling what the winning bidder was willing to go up to, so don't feel too bad about it. If you had decided to go after it, it might have ended up going for several hundred more.

Yep I do like the mix of gold and steel. I'm quite in to a gold cap too.
