Omega constellation 168.010 strap help!

Hi all, I have a 168.010 14k capped constellation in, what I like to think is, good condition! and I've got a few questions about it (wondering if anyone can help me out!) - When I purchased it, it came with this no12 1068 gold plated omega bracelet. I would like to find out if this watch originally came with this bracelet, or if it was added at a later date (I have the papers for the watch but it doesn't say). I can't seem to find out much about what options it was originally sold with, and I can't even find out much about this specific bracelet (it doesn't seem to be very common).

I would also like to get an alternative leather strap for it, and i'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for leather straps that won't break the bank!! its a 19mm

If anyone has any interesting info about this watch and its bracelet I would LOVE to know. All I know about watches is that they tell the time...

There is no way of knowing whether the bracelet was sold with the watch... you could have it any way you wanted at time of sale.

Welcome @omega168.010

@SkunkPrince is correct in saying that, unless you have the original receipt detailing the watch and the strap/bracelet, it is impossible to tell how your watch originally left the shop.
However, it appears to have the correct 19mm end links, so you can at least have the comfort of knowing that it appears to be the correct BOR for an .010, so could have been bought with the watch.

I have a bit of a thing for this style of watch and have a pie pan cousin of your watch (amongst others)
19mm tapered straps are harder to come by than the equivalent 18mm straps.
I use Hirsch, so mine are straight rather than tapered.

Gold watches look good on brown or black leather - I happen to prefer unpadded plain or lizard rather than croc but that’s just personal taste.

Here are a couple of examples:
Yellow GC on plain black leather
Rose gold GC on plain maroon leather
SS on black lizard
SS on an expandable SS bracelet

hopefully this helps

Thank you so much for both your messages! It’s great to see similar watches with a variety of straps- now I feel much more confident purchasing a couple of straps, maybe a black and a brown in two different textures. Can’t wait to see how it transforms the watch into different styles.

I must say your pie pan friend is gorgeous!

Nice Constellations. I like my watch with a Rios lizard skin strap. Great quality for the money.

And some came in black.....

And I would consider Horween Shell Cordovan in color #8 for a strap.

It`s a matter of age I guess 😀
It certainly is. But NATO straps invariably leave marks on the back case, that can be difficult to remove.

The experienced Nato watch fellow use tape underneath to avoid that 😉
