I found it a bit weird looking at this lettering where its doesnt really look straight.

I’ll let other chime in but I’ve seen wonky applied lettering like this before on orignal dials. If this bothers you- then pass. Stainless Connie’s in better shape come up commonly for not much more than this

I think that the rotor assembly was replaced at some point also. The rotor is flatter than on earlier models.

Subject watch:


Typical 168.005:



Look at difference where rotor attaches to rear of movement. They changed the rotors in early 1970’s.

Agreed regarding the rotor, but if the value of the BoR is discounted, the watch head is 750-800$ or so. Feels fair-ish to me in regard of the condition issues. It'll never look mint, but if you like the way the dial has aged there are worse deals to be had. Just factor in a service.
