It has been completely restored. If you want a vintage Omega that is untouched and completely original, this isn't the one.

“The solid gold case is pristine with minimal signs of wear”

On what planet does this watch show minimal signs of wear? - it has been polished within an inch of its life.

And the “period correct buckle” is quite right - the period being 2025.

I wouldn’t trust a thing this seller says.

Here is part of the seller’s description:

“I had this restored by Omega Historic Workshop in Bienne, Switzerland over a period of 1.5 years. I received the watch back in 2025 and since then it’s only been worn on very rare occasions.”

The work may have been done well, but how is this dial original?

The second letter "n" in the word "Constellation" isn't rounded enough at the bottom, but if it's a repaint, they did a good job

The letters 'OM' in 'OMEGA' appear rather re-finished to me.

Yes, and there are many buyers who don’t care whether a watch is original as long as it looks good. I don’t agree, but just look at the interest on it: there are currently 172 watchers and the watch is already up to $2,100.

Well... what is interesting... I asked the seller if omega did the dial work and he said yes. I did'nt know omega does this. I know there are service dials but omega repainting dials... hmmm. That's interesting. Shall I ask a copy of the receipt?

I seem to recall that someone had told me that there is a service in Bienne to restore watches, but my recollection is that the cost is shockingly expensive. In addition, no matter how good the work may be, it’s still a redial.
