Offering for sale an attractive example of reference KO 105.001-62 - one of Omega’s finest dress chronographs from the Swinging Sixties with the fabled caliber 321 that eventually went to the moon.

In my experience collecting 321 dress chronographs, reference 14904/ 105.001 is one of the scarcest ‘later’ references. By later reference, I am referring to the fact that Omega had already moved to the 6-digit MAPICS system by the early 1960s from the earlier 4/5-digit systems.

Note the absence of Seamaster nomenclature on the dial, which underlines it being a reference coeval with references 2884, 2886, 2907. As this is a yellow gold watch the styling of the lug tips is so very slightly different from the full SS examples and is absolutely correct for this reference.

  • Reference: 105.001-62
  • Case Size: ~35mm (excluding crown)
  • Movement: Manual-wind Omega caliber 321 15,500,xxx serial dating to early 1960s
  • Dial: Factory Original with AML and 12, TACHYMETRE 700, Claw markers / No Lume and SWISS MADE at 6
  • Hands: Original, yellow Alpha hour/ minute hands matching dial with leaf sub-dial hands and long straight chrono hand
  • Case Material: 40 microns gold plated on stainless steel

Overall watch is in Excellent condition, and presents itself much more nicely in real life than in pics:
  • Dial is Excellent showing honest aging and even patina, No loss of text or any evidence of oil/ binder leakage. No hand drag marks on the sub-dials.
  • Case is VG for its age with correct lug profile; in my experience this case has definitely been polished. Case back has usual desk-diving marks.
  • Original GP bezel present and in great condition. Original crystal with Ω logo-in-center and original crown and pushers.
  • Movement was fully serviced by Simon Freese in 2024 and is running perfectly. Chrono start stops and resets to 12 correctly with no drag.

Price US$4,750 + Shipping

Returns only if grossly misrepresented. As always, photos are part of the description, and I’m happy to provide additional pictures or answer specific questions.

Vintage watches are not waterproof even if gaskets have been replaced during service, etc. These very fine chronographs were never built to modern water resistance standards and should be kept well away from water, humidity, and steam.
