Hi ,
I have a cal 565, 279xxx serial number which I’m currently working on , there are some missing parts mostly on the date mechanism .

I have made a list of the missing parts but i found 2 versions of the date wheel .

The first photo is from my movement , the second photo is option one which is highlighted in green on the list , the third an fourth photos are the second option which is highlighted in red on the list .

I would highly appreciate any information . thx

Look what came in the mail this week. Finally have a chance to look at it.

A new set lever spring!

I am still waiting for the double date jumper 560.1559. I have been curious how the quickset date works. There is so much information here it can often be hard to find.

TM watchco has been my go to source for these parts. They have an eBay store.

I also found clipped into my reference an annotated xerox which shows these part number changes.

The version I downloaded with the 565 addenda has the changes with the spiral variation which this watch has.

that part has been updated a number of times your 3rd photo(563-1564 date indicator driving wheel, mounted), the one with the spring built into the top of the one piece wheel is the most recent version, though there are 2 versions of that with the updated version featuring a small spot weld to prevent the spring from working loose.

are you saying you are also missing 560-1500 date indicator as well? because there are many versions of that in different colours for different dials.

interesting, mine has a date indicator b1 1500 and a date indicator b2 1580, well there are many many variants with the ones that have a curve to match dome dials and the flat ones as well

Where are you getting your part numbers (Date dial operating finger 1507-563 / Date wheel 1560-563)?
They don't align with the two tech guides I have for the 563/565.

@Archer explained a similar "part difference" here. Maybe he can shed light here.

good luck with your project !! i am not sure if i will try to fix mine because there are many parts missing and it could be expensive .
i have ordered twice from TM watchco and was very pleased , the first time i ordered from ebay but because im not from the US the shipping was very high , the second time i ordered it was from etsy and the shipping was much less expensive .

that part reference that you found is very interesting , it makes me think that i can use both options as they both fit with no other part changes .
thanks!

thank you for the information ! , so both of the versions would work for my movement ?
i do have the original date indicator , this watch was a very good condition working watch but a few years ago my father which owns a vintage watch store took this watch to fix a broken one of one of his customers .
he recently gave this watch to me because i am in the process of learning watchmaking .

thank you for the information ! this is my first time writing here on OF and i was skeptical if someone would actually answer my question but i was very wrong . i am into watches since i was a child and my favourite brand is omega ( almost exclusively vintage ones ) , over the years i had a lot omega watches and i am also collecting every item that is connected to omega (boxes , display items , catalogs etc...) , be sure that i will continue to use this platform after this experience .
