I would imagine that this Railmaster wears very large, because it is all dial, a very thin bezel.. it is going to look very big on the wrist...

Indeed the dial size in comparison to the case will make it wear very large. Just to illustrate this point I was working on a SM300 the other day while wearing the new Nomos. I was installing the dial and noted how small the SM300 dial is really, so I snapped some comparison photos:

The Nomos case is only 35mm, but with a very thin bezel, and you can see the dial on it is much larger than the SM300 dial is, so the Nomos wears very big for it's size.

BTW my limit in terms of size is partially based on the length of the lugs - if the lugs don't "hang over" my wrist then it's okay, but if they do I consider it too big.

Cheers, Al

My wrist is approximately 7". Here's my Railmaster with the same size 49.2 mm

I think this is a prime example of camera distortion... I'd love to see this same watch on you taken from3-6 feet away by someone else...

Based on Wrist shot alone....it looks ridiculously too big...but in perspective, it may fit just right...

That's the fish-eye effect of macro. Here's a perfect example using my former Heuer Autavia.

Mirror shot:

Looks to push the boundaries on the wrist shot, but looks well suited to my wrist in the mirror picture. Go figure.

Here's a pictorial example to illustrate this point...

Breguet Big Marine 43mm...

Wrist shot... too big for 7 inch wrists...

but, take a few steps back....

and it seems to fit just fine....

I have the XXL and it wears and looks big and I have a 7-3/4 wrist. Honestly, I don't wear it often and would probably be the first of my watches to go if I were to flip one. It is a beautiful looking watch though, but I think I should have bought the 42 mm version. I also agree with other posters that different watches wear bigger than others. I also think certain straps make the same watch wear bigger than other straps, like a steel bracelet vs. a leather or NATO strap. My SMP chrono wears bigger on a bracelet than on a rubber deployment strap.

I read the replies a few times and that made my mind up, i definitely think it would be too big, but needless to say i still love the look of it!
