That’s a great pic. Some I like the look of it and some I don’t. Yours falls firmly in the former. Congrats!

I’m still sitting on the fence on this. I do really like it and I’m a huge Speedmaster fan. I was convinced at a recent event when I tried it on. But something is holding me back.

I may be able to pick one up shortly. Trying to decide!

I'm hoping the pictures aren't doing it justice ...... the more I look at it in pics, the more I'm losing interest in it.... but sure hope that wow factor is still there when I have it on my wrist....

The pictures never do a watch justice, having tried both the 0000 models on my wrist last week at an OB event I can say that you are going to get a very beautiful watch, it looks gorgeous, enjoy it and congratulations.

That is one sweet looking gold watch, a home run by Omega and well priced for an all gold watch these days.

OP, you have a loose thread on your cuff button. Just a heads up.

I have been allocated the stainless version by my boutique but also I’ve registered with omega online.
What are the chances of getting one of omega direct as well or will they cross reference any orders with the boutique?

MORE WRIST PICS!!! Mine is coming eventually, but I don't know when, and until then, I'm going to have to rely on you all for photos to hold me over. 😀

was it from a London Boutique?
Yes it was. They had 5 delivered on Monday, all pre-allocated obviously. They are expecting a total of 15 in that particular OB

So YOU are officially the first one on OF to not only get yours, but also to ACTUALLY wear it!! 👍

Congrats!!! Well done!! Enjoy it in good health... and looking forward to reading a review and some side by side comparisons with other Speedy models.

I'll definitely be wearing and keeping this one. It's a beauty. Came in an amazing package with some thoughtful extras.

Seems they are coming in pretty quickly

Now I will admit, I was certainly on the fence about this on initial release. But having tried it on, in person, it all changes.

I did have to think about this one, as I usually go with my gut and usually like to make buying a watch a special occasion. I wasn’t too keen on the running seconds dial but the feel and the warmth of the watch on makes it really quite special in person.

The bracelet has a fantastic taper and certainly feels very comfortable. It’s just like my 60th anniversary broadarrow speedmaster.

For some reason the watch wears smaller than I thought. It doesn’t feel 42mm. I don’t know why I think that, it just feels smaller than my other moonwatch pros.

The step dial really works because the sub dials, also stepped add some depth to the dial. They grey colour of the main dial is certainly a tad bland, as in, it doesn’t have a vintage feel to it, it could have a minor amount of texture but it does contrast so I think on balance it looks better.

The gold, simply put is nicely done. It is not two tone in the traditional sense. It just warms up the watch and it really does look quite special as the sun catches the applied markers and gold accents.

I’m a huge speedmaster fan, so it was hard to pass on this. Even though initially i wasnt sure. So I’m sure some of you who are on the wait list that loved it at first site will be more than delighted when yours turns up.

Not the best pictures but the first ones...

The various photos give a reasonable impression but i can't make my mind up on how the main grey part of the dial looks. Sometimes its really grey and kind of dull (thumbs down) and other pics looks darker and really compliments the two tone and black parts of the dial. Is that fair comment from those who have experienced the watch in the flesh/natural light?

Edit: Not that i have this watch nor have my name down for it. Just wondering really...

Just edited my photos above to show you in natural light

Hope it helps

On camera it can look pale but in real life it seems to work.

Indoors or in dull light it actually looks pretty close the black. Only photos seem to exaggerate the difference.
