Cheers for that @Bp1000 I can appreciate how it probably looks better in real life - especially when its on your wrist!. I certainly think they got the proportion of steel to gold right on this too, not overdoing it by putting in the bracelet, just nice hints here and there. Congratulations on the purchase!

The various photos give a reasonable impression but i can't make my mind up on how the main grey part of the dial looks. Sometimes its really grey and kind of dull (thumbs down) and other pics looks darker and really compliments the two tone and black parts of the dial. Is that fair comment from those who have experienced the watch in the flesh/natural light?

Edit: Not that i have this watch nor have my name down for it. Just wondering really...

No sorry, the photo's just don't do this beautiful watch justice, I don't have one, I am not on the list to get one, and have no plans to get one as it is a touch too pricey for me. But I have seen it in the metal and tried it on, it is stunning and looks great on the wrist, the different colours / shades blend really well IMHO.

It looks very good. The mix of colours and the bracelet make it stunning. I just regret the sub-dial design (to a point where this is a no-go to me) but I believe this has already been discussed many times here. So enjoy! A very fine watch indeed.

Master chronometer chronograph service prices are around 700-800 yes.

Service intervals, if you stick to them religiously aren’t slightly extended I believe, so it does blend out.

For some reason the watch wears smaller than I thought. It doesn’t feel 42mm. I don’t know why I think that, it just feels smaller than my other moonwatch pros.
Great photos sir! Looks absolutely stunning.
I’m encouraged to hear you report it wears a touch smaller. I recently bought my first Omega - the Moonwatch, and went for the leather strap. I have a 6.5” wrist and felt it wore much better on me than the bracelet. On my wrist the bracelet protruded from the lugs before falling away around the wrist, adding a few mm to the overall length. The beautiful new flat link bracelet looks like it falls away flush with the lugs which should trim those extra few mm off nicely! Can’t wait to get my hands on it. Have been allocated one, just waiting for it to arrive...

You’re right. The flat link bracelet just falls away from the watch. It’s hard to photograph but the links fall straight down which I think gives it slightly slimmer look.

This top down photo and the side photo should show that.

Moonwatch photo included on leather so you see what I mean.

Thats fine and I respect your opinion but I am not a millionaire and the only way I can afford pieces that I want to keep and hand down is to flip others to make a profit to offset, that is really it. If some people have an issue with that, that's fine too but I don't believe you should be abused for it One stated 'buy the seller' which I see as a defamation on my part and if you check my sales threads I have nearly 10 sales all with happy customers.
I think if that is the case, then that is fair enough. I only have so many funds for watches too and had to move on certain sought after Rolex and Omega models to get others. I wish I could have kept them all.

Pure conjecture on your part, the one offered is above the original price but no one knows if the price will drop much under the original selling price. It could go a little higher, maintain its value, or go down, no one knows at this point.
Considering the fact there is now one on the bay for £8,750 my ‘conjecture’ appears to be right.

I have one to pick up in Poland at the end of July. Unfortunately, there are holidays, I have other issues ... If someone wants this watch in the retail price, I invite to Poland 😀

That is a great offer, I would love to take you up on that, but unfortunately my piggy bank is empty, hopefully someone will take you up on this opportunity.

This 50th Anniversary Speedmaster may well be the most luxe Speedy ever. It's tasteful and elegant.

Seems they are coming in pretty quickly...

Congratulations! Looks lovely.

Quick question: How do you find crown action, especially when winding the watch?

Just read the whole B/S of « this is the most important piece since the original » before giving him absolution. The guy is simply not credible.

Stiffer is my immediate thought when I first wound it.

The typical 40 full turns. It feels meatier if that makes sense.

I’ll wind it again tomorrow and see how it feels.

Nice to have the seconds hack feature / stop seconds.
