For all those that had a good laugh over my concern pointing out the incorrect time on the box when it was first released...You are all welcome.

02:56:15 GMT is the time officially recognized by NASA as the time Armstrong sets foot on the Moon.

Corrected boxes for all you happy customers.

It's good to have friends in high places. Yes, I did contact them. The correct box made your watch more valuable being it's correct now.

Landing on the Moon required split second timing. Time is of the essence. It required split second timing to land on the Moon. So getting the time right on the box from the brand that landed on the Moon is extremely important. Good catch.

But that isn't when the first watch was on the moon. That would be 03:15:16 ::stirthepot::

But it commemorates the first watch on the moon. Just sayin' (I am feeding the fire, so please feel free to ignore me or give me a good ribbing back). Just hope this doesn't turn into a flipping thread. Those are mean.

    Too gentle!!

In proper style (lately), you should have added a few expletives and some childish insults to boot....

    Thank you Sir !

I would be just as happy with 3:15:16 and "First Steps with First Watch on the Moon" :D

No no no. That’s not it at all. If you really want to add value to your flip you want inconsistencies and errors on the box set. The correct time won’t do, get it changed to a date in the 1860s.

wait... so 02:56:15 was when Neil Armstrong took the first step right? if so, from what I understand, his Omega Speedmaster was in the Lunar Module because he used it to time in it off his wrist and left it so officially Buzz Aldrin's Speedy was the first watch on the moon... so how would that play out?

The badge states first step on the moon so seems correct to me now.

Thats my understanding hence Omega used the pic of Aldrin stepping down as that was the watch setting foot officially
