Chipped case so can only be replaced for a new case with movement swap of old 3,4k + 950 intervention cost for movement.

This case is stainless steel - that can be laser welded and refinished. Not by Omega certainly, but if this were my watch, I would have waited until it required a service, and had the case repaired by someone other than Omega...

Replacing a case for this is....a bit crazy...

In my book that would hardly call for a case replacement, especially where it is located. It's a pretty good ding but not something that would call for a new case. If it was mine I'd live with it and if it still bothered me in five years time or so when it was due for a service I'd address it then. Most likely at that point it wouldn't be that big of a deal to worry about.

Not surprised. If you wear it a lot the likelihood is you will accumulate a few more chips and scratches (depending on how you wear it). After a while you forget about them anyway and they just become part of the watch.

I worry more about dinging the bezel....

If anyone is still looking for one, the stainless steel Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Speedmaster is available for purchase on the Omega U.S. website.

As I wear mine a lot I was concerned the bracelet was picking up scratches so wanted to keep it in good condition as it’s a rare thing. Saw this strap on a previous post so ordered one and it arrived today. It makes the watch face stand out so much more as the original bracelet was very shiny. Absolutely love the way it looks now. 1F7ABF78-F876-4C7C-B107-71552925038D.jpeg D4D8D1BC-D762-4F4C-AFAC-F4739C05CB72.jpeg EECE9D7E-205F-4512-A1E9-68FC5570B5E5.jpeg 219A8678-9532-43B1-B8FD-593C480BE29D.jpeg 6F7E03DF-D240-4C8F-9E1F-17A3CA8BAD7B.jpeg
