I picked this up on eBay and it was in roughish shape. I had just recently restored an 861 with a rusted-out keyless works for a friend of mine, so of course I just had to buy one myself. This one had some really interesting issues that pushed my knowledge to the limit… I’ve only been doing this for a little over a year, but I love it. Love the science. Love the puzzle of it. Love the engineering. Love the feeling of accomplishment when I get this working so well that my local watch guy tries hiring me on the spot. I know I’m technically just starting out … and I have no business touching watch royalty. But this stuff has become my life all of a sudden. I’m all in, and very very serious about making sure every watch I restore works perfectly.

I welcome feedback. Happy to answer questions! And always open to better ways to do this.
