I was very excited to get my birth year watch, and Michael Collins’ reference,
purchased in New York City on the exact day of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 launch back in 2019.

Since then, I’ve worn it sparingly, and only around the house. At the end of the day, I just don’t wear it enough to warrant keeping it, as much as I love it.

The condition is vintage. The dial is beautiful. There are some bald spots in the tritium plots, which still glow.

The hands show some paint wear in the center. The flat bottom seconds hand is correct for this model (see the Moonwatch Only book), if not unusual.

The case does appear to have been lightly polished at some point. Still, the lyre lugs have a nice sharp edge.

Correct DON bezel in great shape.

Original crystal, with some signs of light polishing. Omega symbol intact.

321 movement running smoothly and keeping excellent time. Chrono functions and reset are perfect. Service history is unknown.

It will ship with the modern Omega version of the 1039 flat link bracelet, which came with the 50th anniversary Speedmaster. It has been modified to fit this watch and all other 20mm lyre lug Speedmasters. It’s a fantastic bracelet, thin and light, but extremely solid.

I will consider a trade for a Rolex Explorer I 39mm MK2 in mint condition with box/papers. All other trades politely declined.

Returns accepted if the watch is grossly misrepresented. No returns for buyer’s remorse.

Prefer to sell CONUS. Shipping cost TBD. Zelle preferred. I have 1000+ 100% positive feedbacks on eBay since 1998. Long time watch netizen and former contributor/moderator at timezone.com.

Take it today and I’ll throw in a Seiko Arnie Solar Prospex reissue in mint condition, barely worn. Watch and original strap only. No box unless I can find it.
