Yeah, whoever took the pics for the auction needs to be fired because those pics look nothing like Jozz99 posted. Looks like a good pickup dial wise. Can take your time finding the correct crown.

Yeah, the one you ended up getting is definitely a banger of a watch. Same when I picked mine up, saw the dial and condition, said "wasn't going to get much better" and if I didn't grab it, would be tough finding another in such good condition. Also came with the original green bezel which was icing on the cake for the deal.

I've just taken delivery of this, on Nato for now as I need a couple of links added to bracelet, which I have. I took elephantcage's advice and bought the dial- I know the crown is wrong but I'm happy with it

Nice 2998! It鈥檚 not too far a stretch to call it good. Finding these is one thing, a nice dial is another and this one certainly has a nice dial to my eyes. Bezel is worn, but still pleasing. I like it.
The bracelet is a cool bonus too, especially if the end links are there as well?

Thank you, I'm feeling lucky to wear it. I have the no. 6 end links, bracelet a little short for me, so I will be joining the many looking for a couple of 7077 links. I now understand there are many versions of 7077, mine is 1 61, no easy remove links but some sprung-I don't know if there are special tools available to open and close the links - another learning curve......may have to give it to an expert but I enjoy the satisfaction in at least understanding the work even if I don't do it.
