Has anyone noticed this year that the quartz bond is skyrocketing in price?

I haven’t noticed it myself in Australia, but it’s most likely has to do with the passing of Sir Sean Connery.

Not sure about the quartz but I still love my 2531.80 serial on this one from about 2007

I think he means his death raised interest in the series

As @omegafanaa mentioned, his passing has brought much attention to the James Bond series.

Although he wore a vintage Sub, I would imagine most people, if not all, associated the James Bond with the humble Omega Seamaster.

Maybe they have risen a little bit I wouldn’t say skyrocketed. Take it. That’s generous for a quartz SMP. Maybe a 2264 might fetch more but not normally the others like the Bond. That would be top money really and personally I’d expect a mint watch with box and papers for that.

I noticed too. A well known seller of used Omega watches on WUS just sold a mint 2541.80 that he listed for US$ 2,375! And I know from experience that he does not negotiate much, so selling price must have been close to asking.
