It's not a difficult job, but if you don't know what you are doing, you can really cause some damage. No one cam tell what your skill levels are, so my suggestion would be to take it to a watchmaker that is familiar with Omegas, and with doing this specific task on them.

For anyone interested in replacing an Omega Seamster Professional bezel or bezel insert (aluminium) such as the one in this thread I’d highly recommend following this video. A few tools to be obtained (pictured) but well worth it - I followed the instructions and it certainly worked for me.

Few comments on the video...

1 - No need to put the crown in the "notch" in the remover - the crown is well under the remover unless you have somehow gripped the bezel all wrong.

2 - I would suggest removing the bracelet - the bezel comes off easily when everything is clean, but if it's packed with dirt it can be difficult to remove the bezel and there's a tendency to crank on the bracelet, and you can damage it.

3 - I install the insert with the steel part of the bezel already on the case - that way you can get it exactly spot on.

4 - Big one - the tabs on the click spring need to be lubricated with some grease - I use Fomblin UT-18, which is the same grease used for nitrile case back seals, crowns, etc.

Thanks for the advice on the lubricant - I did wonder if this would be needed. When I switched an insert I reused the existing click spring which was well lubricated and it worked fine.
