Wish the bracelet was tapered towards the clasp. Doesn't seem like it is.

^ The RM is quickly becoming my favorite of the bunch... fingers crossed that @dsio is correct and I'll be able to pick one up for at or below MSRP at some point.
Hey if you guys all start liking it then it might not go that low, buy the Seamaster or something instead lol

The more I see of that Railmaster, the more I'm beginning to like it. Agreed that at MSRP I have other options I would look at, but with a discount it would become a very viable option.

I'm not going to be in a position to buy any of them this year so I'm just going to let the chips fall where they may and see what the market looks like in 2018. My gut tells me they will be very popular but still, 3,557 LEs (each) is a lot of watches.

Nice info, Omegist. Cool first shots of the non-trilogy box as well. Still shaking my head at Omega for sending all the customers who want to preorder an "Omega Boutique Privilege Preview" claiming the Speedy has sapphire

Omega boutique in DC is still taking orders for the Trilogy! I find that extremely surprising given the limited release....what gives?

I'm not in a position to buy this year either, especially if a 100% deposit is required in the very short term.
I am however another vintage collector who has had his head spinning about new release modern watches for the first time.

Regarding possible future market values are we really accepting that these 3,557 LE's will be the ONLY editions/iterations/examples of these styles in the years to come?

I'm hoping that these are a (very good) starting point* and will be gradually tweaked over the next few years.
If I'm saving to spend this sort of money then I'm hoping that in a couple of years time there might be a very similar looking Seamaster but without the 'limited edition' engraving on the caseback (big improvement in my eyes), hesalite crystal (personal preference) and possibly the bezel numbered the other way (not overly fussed either way).

😁 *If I can really get away with calling these the "starting point" after 60 years 😉

Very nice.
Was hoping the individual boxes would be in the same style. 😎
Had feared this might have been just another marketing attempt to push some towards the set.

Still can't quite tempt me to apply for another 0% credit card. Yet.

Did you not see all the complaints about the ugly "Trilogy XXX/557" label on the dial?

The omega boutique in Vienna Austria only wants a 10% deposit payment..no need to pay the full amount..
Interesting how differently omega boutiques handle that issue

There are comments that 3,557 watches are too many for the Speedy 60th to hold its value. I'd guess there are more stainless steel Daytona's shipped each year. If the design is appealing enough, shifting 3,557 watches shouldn't be a problem.

Do we know all new things of Baselworld 2017 by now? Since it still lasts quite a few days I was wondering if there's still something to be announced?

Yeah, I don't see that as a very high number, given the demand that's already been observed.

Quick thing about those photos of the full specs above - why does the Speedy only have a two year warranty versus a four year warranty for the SM?

They are endorsing the tech behind their new movements. Even the coaxial (pre master coaxial) had 4 years...

Demand is not as strong as people think...I've been in constant communication with Omega, plenty of low numbers to go around on ALL releases.....
