I think yes. Very different feel.

Man, I am digging that Ranchero. Going to have to start keeping my eyes open for one of those. NICE!

Does anyone know the lug width of the 38mm Speedy? I'm wondering if the bracelet will work on my '68 Ultraman, which I purchased sans bracelet.
It will not

One should always have in mind resale value when acquisition is above let me say an average salary payment. God only knows what may await you in future.
Totally disagree. If losing a couple thousand in resale value could substantially affect your quality of life then you should only buy a (probably only one) watch that you are very sure you won't be selling anytime soon

What do you think about the clasp on the speedy?
Amazing! Vintage look with modern tech. Hopefully isn't too bulky in person

Love what I've seen so far. Anyone found a shot of the clasp, closed, in profile that shows its thickness?

I'm floored by the trilogy set... Called up AD to find out local prices... too bad there are no emoticons for crying.

After all, what omega does is very disrespectful to their customers and ADs!

Omega should ackowledge that for doing a good watch purchase in this price range you have to see the watch live and in the flesh.
Requiring 100% deposit on a watch only kown for dubious web pics prevents their loyal customers from doing so, and may leave them with something they regrett and have to resell with loss.

Having them running to the boutiques and paying the deposit there will leave the ADs with the bread crumbs and 100% of the economic risk of the bullish limitation, whereas omega has achieved the overall maximum of profit possible.

This is a clever stragety from a salesman perspective, but it will do some collateral damage depending on if the risks will materialize or not.

I am not fanboy enough to praise this.

It looks a little bulky to me, and based on the adjustable clasp on my Submariner, I'm not entirely sure why it needs to be.

Notice the "not for sale" stamping on the inner lug right under the clasp? Now if those watches surface on the marked some day ... I can see the Christies catalogue add in my head ...

Doesn't look like it matches the bracelet but I believe it's adjustable. It looks like the clasp on the SM 300 MC and speedy mark 2.

Hello fellow wonderful and nice OF members. I hope your days are going well and what a fine day it is. Rob Topper posted this pic (thanks Rob!) of the inside of the clasp somewhere. From first view, it seems adjustable but maybe not as far as the clasp on the 300MC since it is shorter over all. Still pumped it's adjustable. I'm in love. Please and thank you to all and please continue to enjoy your great days and hey, take some time to stop and smell a flower.

Yes and no - lug width of Speedmaster Professional (which includes the Ultraman) is 20mm. Lug width of straight-lug Speedies is 19mm.

. . .HOWEVER, this 1mm difference will only result in .5mm gap on either side of the endlink, which could offer us the nice, classic endlink rattle just like the vintage links. 😉
If you look at it that way, yes it will fit. But it won't fit perfectly, and I thought that's what he was asking. 😉 But I get your point

I'm afraid it might be a little bit too long, but the logo is awesome

I just wish the pieces has this apparently satin finish on the lugs instead of the actual mirror high polish were seeing in the wrist-shots.

As much as the Railmaster is (and has always been) my favorite, I almost started leaning towards the Seamaster, but that count-down bezel makes it impractical for timing stuff, other than a scuba dive...pity.
