NICE!! This piece speaks to me as well. I was lucky enough to snag one a month or two ago...absolutely love it! Welcome to OF, and wear it in good health!

I've been wearing it almost everyday since I got it, and I noticed some scratches near the clasp and the lugs already :<
Thanks for the welcome! I can't stop looking at other watches now.
What have I gotten myself into? 😲

More and more lately, I’ve been thinking the Seamaster 57 would be a good fit in my collection over the 300 MC.

I have been monitoring one at my AD since July :< If I could I would too

LOL...I've had about 12 new additions to the collection since the RM. Same seller posted his '57 Seamaster shortly after I picked up the RM...so tempting, but ended up chasing some challenges during lockdown instead.

Yea I will likely never own one, I just can’t justify how much more it costs vs. the 300 MC in the preowned market.

Has anyone noticed if the Omega logo etched into the crystal is slightly off-center? I just noticed that on my Railmaster, the logo is slightly to the left of the center. It's driving me nuts. Should I try go get it swapped under warranty, or is this something that should be expected?

Have you checked if the watch is square to you? Mine lines up with the watch hand bolt at a certain angle

No.... I think the size and optical challenges make it very hard to check / photograph with any accuracy. I suspect there will be variation (as with logos on Crowns / case backs - pre Naiad lock). I am happy with mine on all counts.

Dead on it's off center, it aligns when looked at at an angle, if that's what you mean.

It's noticeable when I look at it dead on. It's easy to see, because when I look at it from the side, it's aligned perfectly in the vertical direction.

My rail is spot on, my sea is a little low and it's low and on the right on the speed... All different

I guess some variation should be expected then. I can live with that.

Good golly, send it back immediately, demand a full refund. Unfortunately, I can see from your photo that the etched logo also sits 0.001mm higher than the stated specification on the official Omega website. Someone could have had their eye out on that thing! Send it back under warranty? My god man you've been taken for a fool. You should be preparing a lawsuit for negligent manufacturing practices. 😁

Yeah, shit like this is why I'm flipping all my Omegas for Rolexes. At least they value quality.

I'm joking, of course.

100% of the people who buy omega where them and enjoy them.

80% of. Rolex buyers sell them or put them in a safe and use an iPhone...
20% probably enjoy or just want to show off because they got one

I wonder if there is an algorithm to predict how long before a thread devolves into Rolex vs. Omega based on thread topic.

It takes longer for a thread to evolve into Rolex vs Omega than it does a Rolex thread to turn into an investment thread.

Hi! I'm new to this forum. Has anyone tried the Uncle Seiko 1035 or Forstner flat links with their Seamaster 300? How does it fit? Looking to change the bracelet of mine to make it more vintage like

I wear my Rolex, it's my Omegas that are in the safe.
