J jocko417Yes, that’s correct, the minute hand has the arrow instead, probably a good idea since it’s easier to spot that way and I’d imagine you’d deal more in terms of minutes vs. hours when sport diving. Also, the second hand is white (some had a luminous tipped second hand like the 1960s Speedy), and the bezel counts elapsed time instead of countdown. All these were changes made to the SM300 after 1960.
Here is an interesting article about the various changes made to the SM300, you can definitely see where the Planet Ocean got it’s looks from (1969)...

I was surprised to see the 60th seamaster at a OB here in Los Angeles. Not one but two. I guess not as popular or Omega just made too many?
Tried it on and not for me. I guess I am not much into that vintage look. I’ll stick with my 2201.50.
Railmasters are in the window of at least 2 AD’s near me. Seems these were not all sold. I think part of the issue is price. I love the watch, but it’s at the top end when competing vs the Rolex Explorer and you can get the regular railmaster with the same movement for £1.5k less.
Unsurprisingly there are few seamasters and very few speedies doing the rounds. I guess this is because the non watch crowd will recognise these names and the history.
I suspect we’ll see them discounted soon enough to shift them....
I'm far from made of money. If had the resources of some of the people on watch forums in general, I'd have all three of these and be happy. Instead I have none of them. I love that Speedy 60th but I already have a moon watch and the Speedmaster 57 broad arrow co-axial. I love that watch, too. I'm not interested in getting rid of either of those watches, so it makes it basically impossible for me to justify dropping $7K-plus on the 60th, which combines the movement of my moon watch with the 60th's original design that inspired my '57. If the 60th were priced the same as the regular Speedmaster Pro, it would be a different story--or I would at least seriously entertain the notion of getting one. But that $2K markup? I just couldn't get past it. At this point, I'm actually fighting the urge to grab a Railmaster while they are still available; I've seen reliable sellers around these parts offering them for hundreds less than MSRP. If my tax refund was bigger, I would grab one today LOL

I think had Omega priced these at RM £4k, SM £4.5k, SpM £5k there wouldn’t be a single one left anywhere but as it is, all 3 look expensive with the RM with its minimalist look seeming at first glance the most expensive of the 3, relatively speaking. In terms of resale, it does seem the RM which falls the furthest from its RRP and indeed is the only one now to be seen popping up in dealer windows occasionally.
