The railmaster is certainly the sleeper of the bunch. The “vintage” styled dial looked better in person than the seamaster 300. Beautiful watch enjoy in good health
My caseback sticker finally came loose (I should have never taken it off!) and lost its stick. I found a great replacement are the clear Avery mailing seals....not completely clear, but close enough! https://www.google.com/shopping/pro...-9w77TUejAyYQJaebUQGqRmMaAkTfEALw_wcB#sgro=om
I thought I was the only one here who’s concerned about getting scratches on the caseback. Thanks for this link. I need a good replacement for my “trilogy” scotchtape solution.
i tried swapping out my speedy's caseback for one of those third party see through casebacks so that i wouldn't have to worry about scratches too, but turns out the caseback is a different size from the standard speedy
The stickers are available at Staples, or maybe I can be cajoled into mailing someone a row of them...
I finally figured out why the bracelet is so darn comfortable. Well, at least one reason for it is how flat the links are. And they are shaped such that there is never any pinching of skin or hairs; the bracelet gently conforms to the contours of your wrist and I gotta repeat how wonderful it is having the micro-adjust on the clasp. I cannot take this thing off! I regretfully remove my RM at bedtime, but I put it back on as soon as I'm conscious again in the morning.
Please don’t remove at night as well. I mean it. I wear my Explorer 1 in evening for the night as I need to see time when I get up at night. If I don’t need to wear a dress watch or am lazy in morning, I continue to wear my Rolex for 24 hours. I don’t wear a watch only when I take shower as I don’t like soap to mingle with the bracelet... otherwise 24 hours I like to wear my watches. Life is so short dear....
thanks for the inspiration, but my Railmaster and I do need some alone time so that we are excited to get reunited the next morning.
