I picked up number 248 from London yesterday. It took me time to get used to it as it is a bit more understated than a modern speedmaster professional - I have never handled a vintage speedmaster. But its subtle approach and inherent quality has really grown on me.....so very happy.

Nice to see that this dealer is charging about 10% more than a US retailer. Here all along I’ve been jealous of the Brexit consolation pricing I’ve heard was in effect in the Sceptred Isles. Let’s hope this pattern of above retail is in effect for all of us who got in early!

Other observation: doesn’t the vendor have the dimsions of the watch wrong? He’s claiming it’s 42 mm, I think, when I’ve always heard 39.5. Just sloppy advertising?

Might be a stupid question, but on the RM, the non screw down crown has a little more “give” to it that my screw down crown than my other watches. Does this impact how much water it can withstand or am I just being overly panicky?

The Speedmaster '57 Co-Axial Chronograph watch that is listed in the link has a 41.5mm case according to the Omega website and lists for $9,000 USD which looks like an almost 12% discount at only 6,000 pounds and current conversion rates.

So that’s not the ‘57 Anniversary LE then? All OB’s quoted me $7200 for that watch. And part of the reason I was considering it was that it was noticeably smaller than a modern Speedmaster, but I must have misunderstood evidently.

After going backwards and forwards over a few different watches I finally decided to buy a polar Rolex Explorer II. I then got a call from the Crown Casino OB in Melbourne saying that a Railmaster LE had just been delivered, and, that I was welcome to see it before the owner picked it up. So I jumped in the car, headed into town and after having a good look at the two different watches I ended up putting down a deposit on the Railmaster. Not even two weeks later I picked up my new Railmaster and I couldn't be more happy. Well done Omega!

Yes, the watch in Lifeofmrriley's link is not the 60th anniversary '57 Speedmaster LE. It is the Speedmaster '57, which is the source of the confusion, but only has 2 subdials, the 9300 Co-Axial automatic movement with date, a 41.5 case, and was introduced in 2013. However, the case size of the 60th LE is 38.6 mm and lists for $7,250 so the OBs were not lying to you.

This add is Seedmaster 57, which well has almost nothing to do with Speedmaster 60th Ann. Okay both named Speedmaster but a part of that almost nothing else.

Count the sub dials, it's not all that tricky to tell the difference.

Good Lord! May I never need to have to give an eye witness description of a person or event to the authorities!

It is BS that they send out separate pieces before the trilogy sets!

Hey, at least the Speedmaster '57 is George Clooney's choice according to the Omega website. ;)

It takes time to print the watch numbers on the dial. :) But seriously, I would assume that Omega would have to have all three watches available before being able to release the Trilogy set and the individual LE models have not been released simultaneously. Personally, it pains me that the Speedmaster was last. :(

This whole set is really attractive. I wonder what the investment value of this set in a few years.

Man! I'm still waiting for my Speedmaster 57 and it's been months. You only had to wait for 2 weeks.

Congrats, buddy! That Railmaster is looking absolutely stunning! :D

I couldn't believe it came in so quick too. As I walked out the shop after putting the deposit down I turned around to the staff and said "So. I guess I'll see you next week to pick it up" and we all had a good laugh. So I was pleasantly surprised when it came in so quick.

However, I did make m first enquires about 8 weeks ago and at the time they said they wouldn't start receiving pieces till November. So it seems some pieces are getting out quicker then others. it up" and we all had a good laugh. So it was a pleasant surprise when it came in so quick.

From what the staff told me at the OB I got my watch from they were allocated 4 of each edition and 1 Trilogy set. The Trilogy set was snapped up immediately but hasn't come in, all 4 Speedy's have been bought but none have been delivered, 2 Railmasters have been delivered, so 2 are still available and I think they still have at least 1 Seamaster still available.

However, I did make my first enquires about 8 weeks ago and at the time they said they wouldn't be receiving any pieces till November. So it seems that some pieces are getting out earlier then others.

I've had the Railmaster now for a week and I love it. When I saw the first pics I thought it looked stunning but I had huge reservations about aged lume and the polished lugs and outer links, but those reservations have been dispelled. So just sit tight guys because I'm sure you'll have a smile from ear to ear when you get tour pieces.
