Congratulations! Could you please ask them if they have received any speedmaster and when they expect to receive them?

so i am just curious. . .at 20k CHF you could buy a decent original railmaster or seamaster rather than this re-issue. curious if anyone actually thought about the comparison ?

For me (and I suspect a lot of people), that's at least a part of the reason why I bought the speedy.

I could conceivably own a 2913 at some point if I decide I want one enough to prioritize it. Unless I win the lottery, I'll never own a 2915. And chances are Omega will never make a watch that's closer to a 2915 than this one. So if I ever want to have that look, this is my chance to get it.

Between the three threads dedicated to the '57 Speedy, I probably won't be able to get much sleep tonight knowing I'm picking mine up tomorrow morning.

NO COMPLAINTS about the seamaster. Pretty great. Tried to fit the bracelet on an ed white, the endlinks were very snug, don't think they will work unless filed down very slightly

Railmaster came in. I could write a big review but it really is just superb. Not sure about all the hoopla over the clasp/patina. It all works.

Awesome, someone with a standard and 60th. Could you please tell us if the bezel diameter is identical? Does it wear bigger, smaller or the same?

Having flirted with the vintage Omega world, I personally OVERWHELMINGLY prefer the reissue. Not having to worry about authenticity issues, service history, scratching the plastic crystal, maintenance, replacement cost, etc....I am so happy this Railmaster reissue finally happened, it allowed me to leave the vintage game all together which for me had more negatives than positives.

Yes I did, and I believe many did. While my rationale may prove a bit too simplistic for many, 5-10 years ago vintage was trading at attractive prices vs. new. Now, I believe this is no longer the case for many brands. Not only prices for vintage have gone through the roof (with 20k CHF you could buy a nice 2915 10 years ago, and now you can only get a decent rail or seamaster, but people seem to have totally forgotten that parts will be tougher and tougher to get and service more and more expensive. So, all in, I prefer a new "vintage-like" that is going to work perfectly well over the next 20 years.

Well, I picked it up, came home, and put it away because I have to travel this weekend : (
My initial impression is that the watch feels a bit longer and is a little heavier, but wears very similarly. Once I get to wear it more, I'll have a better answer...

Does anyone have a side by side size and feel comparison of any of the trilogy with a 2017 Autavia? If u do could you post pictures.

just want to see a physical comparison of two very different routes on a re-issue
