Still no word from the Chicago OB. I checked in with them again today and they had no knowledge of any impending US deliveries. In fact they told me they were still hoping for next month.

Interesting to hear that as Fratello watches wrote in their review (which was otherwise pretty positive) said:

"The bi-directional dive bezel on the Omega Seamaster 300 60th Anniversary carries an iconic look. Yes, the polished inner portion is a magnet for fingerprints, but that’s not what bothers me. It’s the fact that the bezel has some rather light action. I wouldn’t call it rickety, but it is a little less solid than I would have expected. A big deal? Not really, but it feels a little too easy to mistakenly move if bumped – something to avoid during a dive."

The bezel does not turn very smoothly. But in the meantime, I do not get the feeling that it is fragile and can be moved or taken away easily.

Wonder if the reduced smoothness of the bezel compared to the sm300mc is because it’s bidirectional and not uni directional?

Very much could be the case. Be interesting to see how many other people find play in the bezel. I dont mean to be a party pooper, i absolutely love the watch just not the bezel.

Just got a call from the OB in St. Louis, saying that the 60th Anniversary watches are in the US, and that they think the Speedmaster 60th I ordered could be in their hands by as early as this weekend. Of course I have to go out of town this weekend...but it sounds like an optimistic timeline to me anyways. Interesting that we all get differing Intel... It's progress though!

Congrats! Do you also have a pre-existing relationship with the OB?

Very interesting if they're going first-come-first-served.

I also ordered at 5th ave. I'm not sure it's realistically possible for many people to have beaten me to the speedy there. Fingers crossed.

I bought my first speedmaster there 6 years ago, and bought a ck2998 last year. So I have a relationship but hardly a VIP. I did order a seamaster, speedmaster, and a speedy Tuesday this year, but I think it's probably first come first served. If you ordered back in March you're up soon I'd say! No word on the speedmaster yet...

Rest easy Mike, they're slowly trickling into the States 👍. What I have been able to confirm is Trilogy orders are coming in based on your deposit placement at your boutique. So I was the first one to place mine (the same day the Trilogy was announced), and three are arriving to the Atlanta boutique with this shipment, so the next two lucky winners are whoever placed the deposits after me. Atlanta OB placed about 10(?) allocations or so for the '57 Speedmasters, so the rest are scheduled to arrive the first two weeks of October.

Great news since we've all only been patiently waiting for almost half a year.
10 Speedmasters from Atlanta alone? Those things might sell out! The staff there is really great, aren't they?

I just spent an hour with all 3 watches. I was expecting to be blown away, but they just didn't do it for me. None of them. I can handle the aged lume on my Seamaster 300MC, but these are much more aged looking. Much more. I also didn't like the grey dials. I'm a bit blown away as I anxiously waited 6 months for this moment, went money in hand and left with nothing. I have been looking at ALL the pictures I could find online since March. It made me a sad realizing they aren't for me. My Seamaster 300MC runs circles around the LE 300. It's just a far superior watch. Damn.

I look forward to getting my Speedmaster and from the most recent pictures I've seen the watch looks fantastic. I agree with you on the Seamaster though. I think the Seamaster 300m MC looks better than the anniversary edition. For me it demonstrates what's great about some of the new watches in production the past few years that are very influenced by the original but perhaps not entirely the same. Think Geophysic 1958. Anyway, your Seamaster is one of the best value propositions out there if you ask me.

I got an email from my OB this morning (5th Ave, NYC) for my Speedmaster. The watch is in their hands and I will be getting it within the next 2 days as I am away for work. But yeah, they are here for sure! I am so excited as this is my fiances gift to me for my wedding. 😀

Sure, but still, not only I believe it's not worth the cost, but I'd think people prefer watches that have not been manipulated, as I do.
There's no way they would find out.

Anyway, I think the hard part is even sourcing one of these dials, let alone 3. Omega is trying to pull a Rolex and restrict all the parts.
