I have a 2254 too. But I cannot imagine OMEGA will not use the modern bezel materials.

I'd have to agree, and an adjustable clasp. They seem too right on with these offerings to mess those 2 points up. Although, that "Trilogy" numbering on the dial of the 3-pack......
Man, they seem to have nailed it this time.

Roseville OB taking phone reservations - will call back when they're ready to take deposits. I'm on the reservation list (#3) for the SM! ::psy::

Anybody got a sofa they don't mind letting me dig around in the cushions? 😉

I'm on the reservation list for a 300 at my OB. Sounds like the deposit will be around $1625.

Wow I would pay extra to not have "trilogy xxx" on the dial. I was thinking about getting the set but no chance now. One speedmaster and one seamaster please!

Looks like that's where I'll have to go too - for me it's either a 2 hour drive or going through a TSA checkpoint at SFO

I have never purchased a watch new from a boutique, AD, etc. Ever. And I called the boutique in Chicago 30 minutes before it even opened to frantically throw my wallet at them. Can't remember ever being this excited for a new watch to arrive. I had completely written off ever owning a 2915, and have found other re-editions (the FOIS, 2998, '57 Broad Arrow - kinda), to be interesting from a nostalgia perspective but unsatisfying to own since they're still noticeably different from the vintage models. It's clear from these photos that every single detail from the original was considered and faithfully recreated here, down to the dimensions, bracelet finish/appearance, dial and sub-dial text, the crown, etc. Even a (tastefully) tropical effect added to the dial! In a weird way, this completes my journey, as I'll no longer feel the need to hunt for the earliest Speedy I can find.

Also, I CAN ACTUALLY WEAR IT!

Ideally, the Trilogy numbering would have been better suited on the back. But it would not be a deal breaker for me if I wanted the Trilogy.

This picture shows the general look without any touch-ups. And it ROCKS. Hoping the clasp isn't gigantic as it somewhat appears here, because the bracelet otherwise perfectly nails the look of the original ones.

I gotta hand it to Omega for having the balls to put out watches in these sizes. The 38mm Railmaster (same as the original 2914) will compete with the 39mm Rolex Explorer I and so far, in my book the Railmaster wins in every category. I'm assuming of course that they didn't fail miserably with the clasp design.

If you buy all three go for the set.

But the extra dial text is hella ugly and it looks like it's actually more expensive than buying all 3 separately. The Costco bulk savings does not apply here, apparently.

Yeah, this is too offensive and completely detracts from the intent of the trilogy being close as possible to the '57 counterparts....I'm still in disbelief because I was sold and am now completely not if this is not something you can opt out of....the extras to me aren't worth messing up the dial.....the dial to me is the most important in any watch I own.

just put a deposit down at the Chicago OB for the 300. not surprisingly, he said the Speedy was the most requested and said he has taken dozens of calls on these things today.

I'm still having an internal struggle on whether I should call up the OB and put down a deposit. I fear that by the time I decide, I will be on an unfulfillable wait list.

Honestly though, I just want the current Speedy Pro with that bracelet. The current 3-link design with polished sides on the center link looks like it belongs in the 90s. Don't get me started on the SMP bracelet.

Yeah, but most people who can afford these's best days were in the 90s.
