In my experience these are pretty robust movements and a normal service will have it running well again. I've never had any out of the ordinary problems and I've probably had around 10 serviced over the years.

Thank you for the explanation. Very reasonable that you would believe that. However, the clock shown in the Omega reply you show is NOT your clock! As you see, the clock in the reply is Item 1512 from Page 442 of the Omega book A Journey Through Time. It is similar - but not your clock.

There were many versions of the 14-series clocks. Also on OmegaForums, Tire-comedon was kind enough previously to post Omega catalogue F275 - and I show two pages. You can see that the reference numbers change according to the dials (for example) but also according to the frames.

The 14.785B image sent to you (taken from AJTT) is clearly different from your version.

The difference is not great, it’s not a big issue - but I maintain that your clock has reference 14.706B.

One further comment.

Your calibre is the 7-jewel version. About a year after your clock, Omega introduced a (very similar) 15-jewel version.

If you need parts for yours, be careful because there may be differences.

Some remarks:
After 2 days of hard work - the movement is working!
I will wait some days to see if it is ok and then I will put back the dial, hands and pack it all to the frame/box.
I did a mistake and I didn't realease the power with the click before I removed the main bridge and although the watch didn't worked for many years - he released much power suddenly - but no damage has occurred to my opinion.
to mention also, that I didn't succeed to put the canion pinion all the way down. I am afraid to use to much power. it is almost in place but not completly. in the next days, when I will put the hour whell etc, we shall see if it makes problem. attached is photo from iphone timegrapher app with the results.
Thank you all for your comments - it was a great help and pleasure!
