Fresh Water
·I'm prowling Ebay after my first vintage watch. I've found one that I like the look of, but I smell a bit of a rat.
The model number is 166.009, the calibre is 562, and the movement serial number is 20397421. The serial number dates the movement to 1963, but when I check https://www.omegawatches.com/en-gb/vintage-watches?reference=166009
All the listed models are from the early 70s. I get the impression that the omega website doesn't have all models in its catalogue so it could still be original.
The dial seems to be in very good condition, the second hand has a slight bit of patina to it, the case looks good but very polished, and more concerningly the rotor looks to me like a slightly different colour to the rest of the watch.
It's beautiful, but I'm worried it's a trap! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
