Hi,

New user here, just chasing a part number or link for a replacement crown for my 166.009 gold seamaster, can't seem to find it anywhere. Bought off chrono 24 and second time wearing it noticed the date wouldn't change, while playing with it the crown must have come loose and I've lost it.

Thankyou

Over a decade+ ago I could barely give them away. Had 400 vintage crowns I sold off in lots and traded.

Unless you can find an original. Any new crown is going to be plated. Not gold filled or capped as the original would have been.

Yeah, Ive found that from my looking around, shame to not be original but even if I can find something plated to replace it. Was a fathers day gift after the birth of my son so really hoping to get it working again.

Call Jules Borel, Otto Frei or McCaw if in the US. Cousins UK

Give them the caliber and case reference number and if the style is available. You will get one.

Also order a new stem

Thanks mate, had a look at them but couldn't understand their part numbers, also I live in Australia. But will shoot them a message 👍

Crowns are cross referenced to case reference numbers. Many suppliers can identify the crown from 166.009. The link I included is to a thread that contains the list with the information you need to identify the specific crown part number. Between the case reference and the Omega part number, that is all the information you should need to search for it.

If that's too much trouble, I'd suggest taking the watch to a good watchmaker, and letting them source the crown and stem for you.
