Hi Gents,

I've been recently offered to buy Ref 2852 14 SC and Ref. 2494-9 (photos of both below, starting from 2852).
The offer seems pretty high, the watches seem polished a bit and the crown in 2949-9 looks like a replacement also the dial is in a pretty rough condition.

I'm wondering what counter offer I should make (if any).

any advice?

The 2852 has a poorly repainted dial, avoid this one!

On top this is just ridiculous!

The 2494 is also in a horrible shape. Case has been polished so heavily the gold-cap has opened up and there’s even fingerprints on the dial. Not to mention the crown. Hard pass on both.

The audacity of some auction houses, they're saying the dial on the 2852 is original 🤣. I was looking to buy the 2852 mostly, was thinking of offering like 1100eur for it. For both they're asking like 2850eur 😂

this line is also missaligned, right?
there are many 'tells' to the repainted dial but the vertical cross hair is not always central to the 'O'.
However, the font should look something like this watch that was in the OF sales section.
