Hi all.
I have just recently been given a ( 1980s ? ) Speedmaster 120m Quartz.
This is the one without numbers on the bezel and a dot at the 6:00.
The band is broken at the clasp and the watch isn't running right now.
He said that the last time he had a battery put in it, the battery didn't last very long.
The band is an odd one, with 1382/381 stamped in it.
I haven't been able to find a replacement band or clasp.
Does anyone know if this watch is worth the effort ?
I rather like it's looks and it's very slim.
Thanks, cheers....dave.

Arghhh, I can't read - it does say Seamaster...
I've finally negotiated a peace settlement between my Windows box and my iPhone and they're now talking.
Pictures attached !
I think I see some corrosion on the battery contacts..
Thanks all...

That's the Jacques Mayol Plongeur Deluxe (Deluxe may have been for the gold or two-tone version only). They have history and a bit of value. First step would be to check that the movement still works.

Thanks webvan !
I'm hunting down a "391" battery to test the movement.
Also looking for a link to the manual, apparently setting it is a bit odd.
I was looking for a replacement bracelet / clasp but they seem to be very rare and even more expensive.
I sure hope I can get going and wear it.
I'll keep you apprised of my "progress".
Cheers....dave.

Assuming you get it going, don't consider it waterproof. They're a press on caseback and if the crown is the same set up as my 1337, it's not likely to keep water out anymore.
Once you pop a new battery in (loosen the screw furthest from the crown a little and slide the battery strap away from the screw) you might need to press the setting button at 2 - I've played with several of these movements and sometimes they haven't started after a battery change until you advance the second hand with the pusher.
You see a lot of these on eBay sold as not working and the circuit seems to be the common issue. If yours won't run then buying a donor 1332 watch might be necessary. The only difference is that the 1337 circuit has an end of battery life indicator, while the 1332 doesn't.
Here's mine, which I stripped down and serviced myself - rather a tricky job for an amateur like me.
