Thinning some Seikos making room for more Omegas!! This Seiko 7A48-7009 Moonphase Quartz Chronograph watch is a descendant of the 7A28 movement which came out in 1983 and is thought my many to be Seikos finest movement line. This watch is fully serviceable with metal components and is very accurate and sturdy. This 7A48-7009 is in pristine condition with hardly any sign of wear and comes with its original integrated 2- tone stainless steel and gold plated bracelet in excellent condition in good length, fits my 7 3/4 “ wrist with an extra bit to spare, with 3 more adjustments available to lengthen, I believe the bracelet is full length as originally sold. The watch is keeping excellent quartz time and all functions are working as they should. Gold bezel with white dial, and Roman numeral + gold dot hour markers on railroad track minute ring. Chronograph subdials include tenth of second at 3:00 running seconds at 6:00, and 30 min at 9:00. Moonphase dial at 12:00 showing golden moon moving across with small gold hand tracking days in lunar calendar. Central sweep Chrono seconds hand is gold. Black minute and hour and subdial hands. Altogether a very elegant dial with multiple functions. Gold bezel with stainless steel case very good condition, 37 -38 mm diameter, 10 mm thickness, lug to lug height 39-40 mm, no evidence of wear on bezel or case. Pushers look excellent no plate wear noted. Original integrated 2 tone SS /gold bracelet excellent no wear noted. Clasp shows minimal- no wear. Screw down caseback good, Serial number 783997 indicating Aug 1987 manufacture date. Crystal mineral glass no significant scratches or cracks Crown original for setting time, also first stop allows adjusting of all subdial hands reset positions. Nice feature if reset results in one subdial resetting 1 spot off you can fix yourself without visiting a watchmaker. Nice!! Movement photo w inside Caseback shows service performed 12/21 so this watch should be running fine for years All vintage watches should NOT be considered waterproof.
