Regarding LE's, the Speedmaster LE's have been pretty successful with one exception. The Seamaster LE's haven't been. I can only think of maybe 2 Seamasters that did well, the Spectre and PO LMLE.

If it comes out looking anything like that then I would be on the phone to them straight away

Asking for my deposit back with immediate effect. :D

Calm yourself we are nearly there, only a few hours left of September and then we hit October, which means that there will only be 96 hours or 5760 minutes or 345,600 seconds before we reach announcement day, and then we have to hope Omega doesn't make us wait too long before they issue the press release.

    :D

I would just like to highlight the irony that would exist if Omega doesn't make good on an exact timeline, to the second, for the Silver Snoopy edition. We'll all be timing this release on our Speedmasters to hold them accountable. Failure is not an option.

Glad you worked out the timings ;)

I'm just sitting back now, all excited to see what they're actually releasing after this thread and the various directions that have been discussed

I'm just hoping its something that sings to me

I hope we’re not timing them on my Speedy Pro. We’d be jumping the gun by anywhere from +11 to +17s per day.

Hoping for beautiful, 3861, pricing that’s closer to the earth than the moon, and a decent degree of availability for at least a year or so. If I buy I’m buying to wear, not hoard.

As previously mentioned I am out of the running due to probable house move, my only hope is that Omega decide to have the watch on sale for a lengthy period I could then get one once move is complete and funds saved.

I have my fingers crossed for you @Martin_J_N, if whatever is released is similar to the A11 on numbers, there's a good chance

Realistically, I only got into watches roughly a year ago and my first major purchase wasn't an Omega but a Breitling which kick started my habit to select your preferred option own, acquire, hoard or collect. It's been a somewhat humbling experience reading through threads here on OF, everyone's passion and wealth of knowledge for all timepieces, not just Omega both vintage and modern.

This is my first experience of a build-up to a suspected release from any brand that has perked my interest, the previous posts contributed from fellow members have simply made the wait so much more.

Take it that you are in part of the world that is already in October?

Thanks, the great thing about watches is that you can collect what you want, how you want and when you want, there are no rules, it's all about personal choice. I'm not a collector, I am simply someone who likes watches and has a small collection that I can pick from and wear as my mood or activity dictates. I am also lucky in that my wife supports me and is happy for me to buy a watch every now and again.

I hope that you get one of the Snoopy watches.

In honor of the impending release, I went into the basement and dug out a set of 5 books that I bought in 1976 at the National Air and Space Museum when I was 12. Somehow these books have followed me for the last 44 years. Below is: a) half of the two page spread showing the launch of Apollo 13; and b) the cover of the actual book. I have something called work on Monday but should be able to finish by 3pm and be at the Omega boutiquey by 4pm. I am hoping that I can register my interest somehow but I am slightly skeptical I will get anywhere.
