October 5th 2020 - Snoopy Celebration

I forgot to mention, when I was looking at the Bond 60th 2 weeks prior before deciding to buy that watch, I was told no more names were being put down on the Snoopy wait list for the near future.
I don’t know about no more names on the list but your other point about one snoopy per shipment aligns with what my OB told me. He was also of the view that even once officially discontinued by Omega, they would still get snoopy shipments for about a year after as stocks were run down. No idea how much truth in that but he’d seen a similar pattern in the past.

Has anyone here that put down a deposit or paid in full in October of 2020 still not receive their watch? I'd imagine Omega has filled all those original orders by now.
interesting, i also just got the call from AD 2 days ago, should arrive sometime next week. I had been put on the waitlist in Oct 2020 (no money down) and so 4 years later literally the call. I had actually mentally long given up on this piece and worry about the thickness too. But I think i'm shifting towards picking it up. I have no omega watches and therefore no purchase history either. This is in Shanghai BTW

I did wonder about the thickness, but the watch genuine sits really well on the wrist, and because Omega profile the sides of the case nicely it doesn't look too thick or heavy. Contrast this with a Tudor Black Bay that I've got, and despite being the newer 58 model, it is rather slab sided and just looks a lot bigger and less well balanced on the wrist as a result.

thanks for that last comment, actually i had the tudor BB GMT in mind when saying this. I am ok with it now on a strap, but on the bracelet, i feel it needs a micro adjust and even they tried to shave that bevel off the sides in the bottom, i do feel that slabbiness.... would you mind posting a side profile shot? and did you also get a bracelet with it

nice and thanks for posting that comparison, very informative. your second shot definitely triggers that slab feeling i get when i had it on the bracelet. and gives a good reference vs how the speedy will sit. (also seems not too far from the moonshine gold moonswatch i have)
I also had the BB GMT:

Sorry, when I typed “have” that should have read “had” as my BB 58 has just now been sold, so afraid I can’t post side by side pics, but Mach above has done a good job. Mine was the 58 which I think is a little thinner but the design is still very much a slab side, which goes almost the full height of the watch bar the crystal. Contrast this with the speedy which as you can see above has a much thinner side profile and is far more chamfered both top and bottom, so visually it looks a lot thinner from the side, and fits much better on the wrist.

I read someone on facebook claiming that his Snoopy 50th, just received a few days ago, was manufactured circa end 2019/begining 2020, according to date stamped on the outside cartboard service box it included. He was angry as he thought the production has been keeped outside the market just to mantain the hype.
I guess this date on outer box is not related with real manufacturing date (maybe just represents the inicial production of the model), am I right?

Outerbox on the A11 50SS says 04/2019, likely for all with delivery starting from July '19 till somewhere end of '20, so not related imo.

pretending that there is a link between a date on a cardboard box and the manufacturing of the watch is nonsense, the boxes are made in batches and cannot be ordered and then manufactured at a rate of around ten per month...

Yeah this ^^^. I love a good conspiracy theory but reality has to be that boxes are ordered and made in much bigger batches.

In addition, when I received mine they had not forgotten to include the small labels with the reference, serial number and the price which had just been updated 15 days later, these 15 days cost me 500€ more

The cardboard boxes are probably made in batches of 100's or 1000's at a time. Similar to how a lot of offices have 1000's of envelopes in the mailroom for people to use.

And get thrown away in bulk after a new company logo style has been introduced.
