No 321 movement if the number of releases is around the 7000 mark as Omega simply couldn't provide that many 321 movements, if their own press release is to be believed.

However, if the watch did have a 321 then the numbers released would be very small (if Omega's own press release is believed), and this is turn would create a huge marketplace for the profiteer. The price would also be well above £14,000 as the basic 321 is priced over £12k.

No my guess would be a 3861 movement but maybe with the movement decorated in a similar fashion to the A8 DSOM Special.

    I am UK based.

Unfortunately no more info, when I chatted with the store manager a month ago they knew nothing about the watch, had no instruction from Omega, they had just a list of people interested and I am close to the top.

My OB says not taking lists on this one. Where are you based?

Hopefully you are 100% correct with the movement because if the price is near $14k, I will need to get rid of my Batman to fund the piece.

But this is a good thing isn't it? The more watches that are around the more people are able to join in the celebration, at least thats my view.

there is no way they will allocate 321's to the new Snoopy, they have only just started producing EW's.

South East, it was the store manager that told me to put my name on the list, 'go for the A13 50th as the 321 is a regular watch and can be bought at any time' were his words, so I followed his advice, e-mailed him and have had confirmation that I am on the list.

Totally agree, we can forget that idea. 3861 is more likely the movement that will be used for this 50th silver snoopy award

The 3861 is the new movement for the Moonwatch (best guess), so until the 1861 is officially discontinued the 3861 will power these specials, Omega haven't invested a lot of time and money creating the 3861 to only use it in the A11 50th.

Whats the difference between the 3861 and 1861, isn't it essentially the same? Even the power reserve is the same as well.

The 3861 is a Master Chronometer whereas the 1861 is not, there may other differences that I am not aware of.

Put my 5K (for 50th?) deposit 19.70 days (if my math is right) away from October 5th?

I am pretty sure the OB in Tokyo would not take deposits or do wait lists which leaves me in a bind if I really like the piece come Oct. Got to think about how I can get a silver snoops 50th over here!

Much better accuracy, it hacks, and much longer real-world power reserve of about 62 hours.

The 3861 is METAS certified. So it means that is has an accuracy between 0 to +5 seconds and the benefits like other Omega calibers such as the anti magnetism. It has a free sprung balance which makes it better resistant to shocks. It of course also has the co-axial escapement which supposedly should give you longer service intervals. The power reserve is "only" 50 hours, not 62 like stated above.

Specs say 50 hours but I'm getting around 62 hours on mine as well.

That could very well be as every watch is different (and some error margins may exist) but it doesn't mean that it's a given, not until Omega states so. Your particular watch may also be accurate to +1 seconds per day, that doesn't mean that every 3861 caliber is. I'm just trying to state facts for the person who was interested in the specs of the 3861 compared to the 1861. He should not buy the particular watch expecting 62 hours of power reserve. Rather expect 50 and be happy if it's more.
