I’ll probably head into the Houston OB to see if I can put a deposit down this week.

Are only OBs taking deposits? Has anyone in the USA been contacted by an AD?

My local OB said they aren't taking deposits because they don't want upset customers. Last Snoopy they were told they would get 5 and they got one. The 4 upset depositors did not make up for the one happy one.

Correct and hasn't every Apollo watch to now been limited?

Houston OB sent e-mail notifying that they’re taking 7k usd deposit, and mentioning that they’re not sure either what the final MSRP will be or when the watch will be available.

Apollo 8 came out at the 50 year mark in 2018 in limited, unnumbered production. Still in the catalogue.

with an unknown production number (potentially unlimited), Omega can keep milking the market (potentially forever) and get to keep all the money off the speculators

Well, technically the Apollo 11 50th Anniversary piece also had a sapphire caseback – but it had the footprint on it instead of being clear, so that's something to keep in mind. Omega could do something like that again for this piece, and save the clear sapphire casebacks for the update to the general production Speedmasters.

I don’t think that the Apollo 8 is selling for a premium in the used market. If Omega goes this route, the value for this version of the Snoopy will be similar.

If people are buying the watch for the Snoopy theme, as most say they are, this shouldn't matter. In fact it should be welcome news as everyone should be able to get one, either new or used. Now if you are buying for appreciation reasons that's a different story.

absolutely. But as you know, there is a frenzy because of the last snoopy so there will be plenty of speculators.

From what I’ve heard, the blue may be coming in the form of a dark blue nylon strap (with stitching?) similar to the 45th anniversary piece. Also heard the dial was going to be silver/white, ceramic bezel and limited production with the 3861 movement. I guess we’ll find out in a few weeks!

3861 black dial, same as 50th with Silver where the moonshine gold is.

Silver Snoopy at 9 subdial done the same as Buzz butt.

    Same number as 50th LE

Similar caseback as 50th LE but something Snoopy, nothing that could have issues like last one

Impossible in my opinion due to the low production. They need to sale and fast...

Doesn't seem that they would sell the ed white for 14k usd and then a snoopy with 321 for 10k, if in fact it's 10k. If they price it similar to apollo 11 50th then won't they have to issue the 3861?

Will they save the 321 for a 105.012 remake?

I hadn't thought of a snoopy embossed on the clear caseback. That is brilliant and feels exactly like what they would do in keeping with the 50th.

Hats off to Omega workers. They can keep a secret. Not many can amymore. I admire them for this especially.

I totally agree with you the suspense is then intense and give us lots of desire and expectations. And we know that it will not be a remake of the 45th with a jubilee bracelet, or same dial but white bezel....
