·My deposit was done in January to OB.
You must be a better customer than I am then haha. My OB didn't reach out to me until July or something and only asked me for a deposit today.
My deposit was done in January to OB.
OB just called and asked for $5k deposit. Said this is the deposit amount because the piece won’t be more than $10k. If it had been more than $10k, full deposit would been required.
No deposits required in the UK as yet.

Still sounds along the lines of my origional thinking...
* cal. 3861
* approx 6,970 LE pieces, it's sounding like an LE drawn out as limited production over two years so Omega gets its slice
* white dial, although 'and blue' sounds intriguing
* the inclusion of white gold being a 50th even though it's a Silver Snoopy Award/A13 related
* approx. £8k as similar pricing to the A11 50th plus recent price hike
It is not a limited edition timepiece but we have heard there is really something special with the movement which you can see with the sapphire caseback.
So is it a 321 movement which my AD had suggested 😕
"Boring package for super expensive watch" is Omega's thing now. The Bond watch comes in a cute little watch roll, sure - but nothing else. For $9000. I'd hope they'll do something more fun with the Snoopy but the trend is towards little to no effort all of a sudden, and I'm not sure why.
Just got this e-mail from my OB:
Dear ...,
I wanted to let you know that starting today we are allowed to take $5,000 deposits for the new 50th Anniversary Snoopy Speedmaster. We do not have all the details or photos yet but we know the final price will be around $7,500 to $9,500. Deliveries will start in October into the New Year. It is not a limited edition timepiece but we have heard there is really something special with the movement which you can see with the sapphire caseback.
If you would like to leave a deposit, you can reach me at…
Makes sense having the 3861, it then brings the movement into a higher production rate rather than a limited edition or limited production.
Is this the start of the demise of the 1861...
Current rumor is that it is “limited production”. Not sure how you square a LP watch with an event like a 50th anniversary. Omega would look pretty foolish in year 3 selling a 50th anniversary snoopy...
